Green Wave is proud to offer a selection of surfboards that are considered to be the first step toward 100% eco-friendly boards.

After much research and design, Neilson Surfboards has created a series of boards shaped from a new and eco-friendly foam blank product named Biofoam.

Homeblown US manufactures Biofoam blanks in which nearly 50% of the core ingredients are from agricultural products. They do not contain any toxic materials known to be harmful to the environment or people. Organic and domestic soy polyol have replaced the standard toxic petroleum-based polyol creating a uniform cell structure and exhibiting superior hardness and identical shaping characteristics to traditional foam.

Research and testing reveals Biofoam surfboards perform equally if not superior to surfboards made of traditional petroleum-based foam.
